Description

The Allen-Bradley 1756-L63 ControlLogix controller is a programmable automation controller designed for industrial automation systems. It features 8 MB of data and logic memory. The 1756-L63 executes control logic, communicates with I/O configuration devices, and handles Message (MSG) instructions along with OPC/DDE tags via RSLinx software. Nonvolatile memory capabilities are supported via an optional 1784-CF64 Industrial CompactFlash card. Serial RS-232 communications are integrated via an onboard point-to-point interface. The module installs into any slot of a ControlLogix chassis.

Features

  • 8 MB memory capacity for data and logic execution
  • Optional nonvolatile memory storage using a 1784-CF64 Industrial CompactFlash card
  • Integrated RS-232 serial port interface for programming and communications
  • Dynamic status indication LEDs for RUN, I/O, FORCE, RS232, BAT, and OK operating modes
  • Three-position front keyswitch for PROG, REM, and RUN mode selection
  • Support for chassis-based insertion and removal under backplane power

Applications

  • Industrial Process Control Systems
  • Factory Automation and Machine Control
  • Distributed I/O Architectures
  • Multi-Controller Chassis Configurations
