Description

The Allen-Bradley 1769-OB8 is a Compact solid-state high-current 24V DC sourcing output module designed to drive field devices within CompactLogix, MicroLogix 1200, and MicroLogix 1500 control systems. Featuring 8 high-power output channels divided into two isolated groups, the 1769-OB8 supplies DC power to sinking field loads such as relays, solenoids, and indicators. The device includes configurable hold-last-state and user-defined safe state behaviors for system program and fault transitions.

Features

  • Provides 8 high-current solid-state sourcing output channels.

  • Divided into two isolated groups (Outputs 0–3 and Outputs 4–7) with independent common connections.

  • Features configurable Hold Last State and User-Defined Safe State logic for Program and Fault modes.

  • Equipped with individual I/O diagnostic LEDs for channel status monitoring.

  • Uses a removable, finger-safe terminal block (RTB) with write-on user identification label.

Applications

  • Driving high-current 24V DC solenoids, actuators, and control relays.

  • Switching discrete field indicators and signaling devices in automated machinery.

  • Interfacing CompactLogix or MicroLogix controllers with industrial field instrumentation.
