Description

Designed to expand the manual control capabilities of 15-inch display industrial panels, the Beckhoff C9900-E858 provides a robust, right-side mounted physical interface extension. This push-button module is engineered specifically for CP6x12-00xx and CP7x12-00xx Control Panels and Panel PCs operating without integrated keyboards.

This extension integrates sixteen square Siemens Signum (30 x 30 mm) push-buttons, each equipped with an integrated signal lamp, alongside a dedicated, directly wireable Siemens Signum emergency stop button. Electrical configuration features dual-channel flexibility: all main push-buttons communicate primary states via CP-Link or USB using a normally-open (NO) contact, while a terminal row enables direct wiring of a secondary normally-open contact for hardwired safety or control integration. The integrated signal lamps are driven exclusively through the CP-Link or USB communication interface.

Features

  • Right-side mounting configuration specifically designed for 15-inch display panels.
  • Equipped with 16 square Siemens Signum push-buttons (30 x 30 mm) featuring built-in status indicator lamps.
  • Includes 1 Siemens Signum emergency stop key designed for direct, hardwired safety integration.
  • Dual-path communication system: primary signaling over CP-Link or USB interface, and secondary signaling via a direct-wire terminal row.
  • Customizable insert labels on push-button caps to allow individual, application-specific marking.
  • Signal lamp control managed dynamically through CP-Link or USB communication protocols.

Applications

  • Industrial machinery human-machine interface (HMI) integration.
  • Heavy industrial automation control desks and panels.
  • Process manufacturing production lines.
  • Safety systems requiring physical emergency stop control alongside digital panel interaction.

Installation Guidelines

  • Mounting: Ensure the host Control Panel or Panel PC is fully powered off before attaching the extension module. Mount securely to the right-hand chassis mounting points according to standard dimensional specifications.
  • Wiring: Route physical auxiliary cabling for the emergency stop switch and terminal rows separate from high-power AC lines to minimize electromagnetic interference.
  • Grounding: Maintain chassis-to-panel ground continuity to prevent communication faults over the CP-Link or USB interface.
