Description

The EL3483 is an EtherCAT terminal designed for monitoring the electrical parameters of a 3-phase supply network. It internally measures voltage by directly connecting to phases L1, L2, L3, and the neutral conductor. The terminal compares these values against user-defined thresholds and provides status information directly in the process image. It detects phase sequence, phase failure, undervoltage, overvoltage, and phase asymmetry, offering a comprehensive solution for grid analysis and mains monitoring.

Installation Guidelines

  • Mounting: Mount on a 35 mm DIN rail (EN 60715) using the locking mechanism. Side-by-side mounting is supported via double slot and key connections.
  • Wiring: Use spring-actuated terminals for solid (0.08–2.5 mm²) or flexible (0.08–2.5 mm²) conductors. Strip wires to 8–9 mm.
  • Safety: Ensure proper connection of L1, L2, L3, and N. Exercise caution during installation to avoid electric shock.
  • Diagnostics: Monitor the front-panel LEDs. RUN indicates the EtherCAT state, System OK represents system health, and L1/L2/L3 LEDs indicate voltage status (green for normal, flashing for warning, off for prohibited range).
