Description

31000-26-05-00-100-03-02: 31000 series English proximity probe housing assembly, configured with a 3300 XL NSv proximity probe, 0.5 m cable length, and 100 mm probe penetration depth. This assembly is designed for the mounting of proximity probes through the machine case, providing external access for gap adjustment or probe replacement without the need for machine disassembly. The unit is constructed from polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), an advanced, high-strength thermoplastic offering corrosion resistance, while internal elements utilize corrosion-resistant stainless steel.

This specific configuration includes Option 03 (two plugs, one M20 fitting, and a cable seal grip for armored probe cables) and Option 02 (3/4-14 NPT mounting thread). It is fully compliant with API 670 standards for externally mounted proximity probe housings and is suitable for radial vibration or Keyphasor measurement when installed in accordance with standard industrial practices.

Features

  • Integrated 3300 XL NSv proximity probe (Option 26)
  • 0.5 m probe cable length (Option 05)
  • 100 mm probe penetration length (Option 100)
  • Includes two plugs, one M20 fitting, and cable seal grip for armored cable (Option 03)
  • 3/4-14 NPT mounting thread (Option 02)
  • Polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) housing construction for corrosion resistance
  • API 670 compliant design for external mounting

Applications

  • Radial vibration monitoring
  • Keyphasor measurements
  • Hazardous area applications (when used with appropriate I.S. barriers and transducer systems)
  • Critical rotating machinery protection

Installation Guidelines

Ensure the machine casing is affixed to the bearing to maintain an accurate relative vibration signal for radial measurements. When installing the housing, secure the outer sleeve into the machine case, insert the probe sleeve, and adjust the gap as required. Disconnect the probe cable prior to fitting the housing over the outer sleeve, then slide the retainer under the retaining nut and tighten. When using hole plugs, tighten the hole plug nuts to 0.5 N-m (5 in-lb) to ensure proper sealing.

Compliance and Certifications

Compliant with API 670 standard for externally mounted proximity probe housings. Suitable for hazardous area use when installed with appropriate intrinsically safe (I.S.) barriers and transducer systems.
