This housing assembly includes a pre-installed 3300 XL 8 mm probe with a connector protector (Option 28) and a 0.5 m (20 in) probe cable (Option 05). The assembly is constructed from polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), a high-strength thermoplastic offering excellent corrosion resistance, with components made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel.
This housing facilitates external access to the proximity probe and its extension cable, allowing for gap adjustment or probe replacement without the need to disassemble the machine case. It is fully compliant with the American Petroleum Institute (API) 670 standard for externally mounted proximity probe housings, ensuring environmental and mechanical protection for the transducer chain in industrial environments.

Ensure the machine casing is affixed to the bearing to maintain an accurate relative vibration signal for radial measurements. When installing, insert the probe sleeve into the machine case and adjust the probe gap before fitting the housing over the outer sleeve. Secure the housing using the provided retainer and retaining nut. If using conduit fittings, ensure all unused holes are sealed with the provided plugs tightened to 0.5 N-m (5 in-lbs).
