Install the outer sleeve directly into the machine case before fitting the housing. When measuring radial vibration, ensure the machine casing is affixed to the bearing to maintain an accurate relative vibration signal. Tighten hole plug nuts to 0.5 N-m (5 in-lbs) if unused holes are present. For probe penetration lengths between 25 and 50 mm, counter-boring the machine case may be necessary to minimize side-view or rear-view effects.
