Installation Guidelines
- Install the outer sleeve into the machine case. Ensure proper thread engagement.
- Insert the probe sleeve and adjust the probe gap relative to the target surface.
- Disconnect the probe cable temporarily to fit the housing over the outer sleeve.
- Slide the retainer under the retaining nut, and tighten the retaining nut to the recommended torque of 29.4 N-m (260 in-lb).
- Re-connect the probe cable and ensure the cable connector protector is secure.
- Install the housing cover and tighten captive screws.
- If using conduit hole plugs, torque the plug nuts to 0.5 N-m (5 in-lb) to maintain the environmental seal.
