Description

Armored stainless steel casing (M10 x 1 thread) with a fully threaded 160 mm body (Option 16) and a 1.0-meter FluidLoc cable (Option 10/11) defines the 330104-00-16-10-11-00 3300 XL 8 mm proximity probe.

Unlike the standard 330103 unarmored series or variants utilizing standard cables (Option 02), this configuration incorporates integrated stainless steel armor to prevent mechanical wear and sheath abrasion. The FluidLoc cable construction prevents oil and process fluids from migrating through the internal coaxial spaces, while the pre-installed ClickLoc connector protector guards against environmental contamination in heavy industrial machinery casings.

This eddy-current proximity probe pairs with a 3300 XL extension cable and a 3300 XL Proximitor sensor to form a complete 3300 XL 8 mm Transducer System. The system measures both static (displacement/position) and dynamic (vibration) mechanical movement, primarily on fluid-film bearing rotating machinery, such as turbines, compressors, and pumps.

Features

  • Fully threaded metric M10 x 1 thread with 0 mm unthreaded length (Option 00)
  • Rigid 160 mm overall case length (Option 16) for deep-reach casing penetrations
  • Stainless steel armor provides mechanical strain relief and abrasion resistance
  • FluidLoc cable prevents oil and moisture leakage through the interior of the cable
  • Miniature coaxial ClickLoc male connector with pre-installed fluorosilicone connector protector
  • Standard 1.0-meter total length (Option 10) matching 3300 XL system calibration
  • Backward compatibility with non-XL 3300 series 5 mm and 8 mm system components

Applications

  • Steam and gas turbines radial vibration and axial position monitoring
  • Centrifugal and axial compressor shafts displacement tracking
  • High-pressure industrial pumps fluid-film bearing alignment checks
  • Industrial gearbox shafts speed and Keyphasor reference measurements
  • Hydroelectric generators shaft runout and motion analysis

Installation Guidelines

  • Do not exceed 15 mm of thread engagement inside the bracket or casing to prevent binding.
  • Maintain nominal gap distance (usually 1.0 mm or mid-range voltage of -10 VDC) during installation using a feeler gauge or monitoring the Proximitor output voltage.
  • Clean gold contacts prior to joining. Threaded click-style connectors require finger-tight torque only. Ensure the connector is fully snapped and that the connector protector is pulled securely over the junction.
  • Maintain a minimum bend radius of 25.4 mm (1.0 in) for standard probe leads and 38.1 mm (1.5 in) for armored leads. Do not route cables over sharp metal edges.
  • Shielding should be grounded only at one end (normally at the monitor rack) to prevent ground loops.

Technical Datasheet

Bently Nevada 330104-00-16-10-11-00 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probe

What defines the 330104-00-16-10-11-00 proximity probe configuration?

This specific probe features an M10 x 1 metric thread, a fully threaded 160 mm case length, a 1.0-meter overall system length, and is equipped with flexible stainless steel armor and a FluidLoc cable with a connector protector.

What is the purpose of the FluidLoc cable option on this probe?

The FluidLoc cable (specified by option 11) is engineered with an internal seal that prevents process oil and other industrial fluids from leaking out of the machine casing through the interior of the cable.

Is the 330104-00-16-10-11-00 probe supplied with hazardous area certifications?

No, this configuration is ordered with the Option 00 agency approval package, meaning no specific hazardous area certifications are included.

What is the benefit of the integrated connector protector?

The pre-installed connector protector provides increased environmental resistance, shielding the critical miniature coaxial ClickLoc connection from oil, moisture, and corrosive atmospheric contaminants.
