Description

Engineered for high-reliability industrial machinery monitoring, the Bently Nevada 330705-02-18-10-02-CN serves as a fundamental component of the 3300 XL 11 mm Proximity Transducer System. This reverse mount probe is specifically designed for environments where standard thread installations are restricted, allowing installation from the reverse side of the machine housing or mounting bracket. By generating a radio frequency (RF) signal through its 11 mm tip, the probe accurately measures dynamic shaft vibration and static position in critical rotating machinery.

The mechanical assembly features a robust polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) tip molded directly onto an AISI 304 stainless steel (SST) probe case. An integrated Viton O-ring provides a durable seal against differential pressures between the probe tip and the casing. Outfitted with a high-integrity, 75 ohm triaxial, fluoroethylene propylene (FEP) insulated cable and a Miniature ClickLoc coaxial connector, this probe maintains constant transmission impedance to minimize signal degradation over extended operation.

Features

  • Reverse Mount Configuration: Engineered for rear-threaded installation layouts where mounting clearance is constrained.
  • High-Durability Tip: Polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) tip material resists chemical breakdown and physical degradation.
  • Corrosion-Resistant Case: Manufactured from AISI 304 stainless steel (SST) for long-term survival in harsh industrial environments.
  • Viton O-Ring Sealing: Seals against differential pressure between the probe tip and the outer casing.
  • Miniature ClickLoc Connector: Gold-plated coaxial connection system prevents loose terminations caused by industrial vibration.

Applications

  • Shaft relative vibration measurements in steam and gas turbines.
  • Axial position and thrust displacement monitoring in centrifugal compressors.
  • Casing expansion and rotor-to-stator clearance tracking.
  • Radial dynamic motion profiling in high-pressure process pumps.

Installation Guidelines

  • Thread Engagement: Ensure clean mating threads in the housing to prevent cross-threading during reverse-mount installation.
  • Viton O-Ring Inspection: Visually inspect the Viton seal prior to insertion to ensure pressure isolation integrity.
  • Cable Routing: Observe minimum bend radius specifications for FEP-insulated cables to avoid concentric conductor deformation.
  • Connector Protection: Ensure ClickLoc coaxial connectors are kept free from dirt and moisture during installation; use recommended silicone protective boots in wet environments.
