Description

Option 080 (8.0 meters length), Option 10 (FluidLoc cable), and Option 05 (Multiple Approvals) specify this 330730-080-10-05 3300 XL 11 mm Extension Cable configuration.

This cable provides non-contact eddy-current displacement measurement within 3300 XL 11 mm monitoring chains. It connects a compatible 3300 XL 11 mm proximity probe to a 330780 Proximitor Sensor. The FluidLoc cable construction prevents moisture, oil, and other process fluids from leaking or wicking through the cable jacket, protecting the Proximitor sensor housing in harsh industrial environments. With the multiple approvals option (Option 05), this configuration is certified for use in hazardous areas.

Features

  • 8.0 meters (26.2 feet) overall cable length option
  • FluidLoc cable design to prevent moisture and fluid wicking
  • Multiple Approvals certification (Option 05) for hazardous locations
  • FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylene) insulation
  • Gold-plated brass miniature ClickLoc coaxial connectors
  • 75 Ohm triaxial cable impedance
  • 25.4 mm (1.0 in) minimum bend radius

Applications

  • Turbine and compressor shaft vibration monitoring
  • Axial (thrust) position measurements on steam turbines
  • Ramp differential expansion measurements on rotating machinery
  • Rod position or rod drop measurements on reciprocating compressors
  • Critical rotating machinery protection on 11 mm probe systems

Installation Guidelines

  • Keep ClickLoc connectors clean, dry, and free of dust or process oils during the installation process.
  • Join the probe lead and extension cable connectors, twisting them finger tight (maximum torque of 0.565 N-m).
  • Observe the minimum bend radius limit of 25.4 mm (1.0 in) during cable routing to prevent internal conductor damage.
  • Ensure that the sum of the probe length and the extension cable length equals the designated total length of the compatible Proximitor Sensor.
  • Use silicone tape or connector protectors in areas exposed to harsh fluids, excluding environments with turbine oil where silicone tape is not recommended.
