The 3300 XL 50 mm proximity probe system is designed specifically for applications requiring a wide linear range (such as differential expansion monitoring). It is critical to note that the 50 mm probe is not compatible with standard 3300 XL 8 mm or 11 mm Proximitor Sensors. This model must be paired exclusively with a dedicated 3300 XL 50 mm Proximitor Sensor. Substituting or mixing sensor types will result in severe scale factor errors and system calibration failure.
While the 3300 XL probes are equipped with dual Viton O-rings to prevent fluid bypass under pressure, they are not high-pressure tested prior to shipment as a standard factory procedure.
