The 3300 NSv system uses a specialized 3300 NSv Proximitor sensor that is functionally distinct from standard 3300 XL 8mm systems. Probes from different series must not be interchanged. This probe configuration (330909) contains internal winding parameters specifically designed for the unique calibration curves of the NSv system, which compensates for cross-talk and side-viewing effects when detecting narrow targets like small shafts or gears.
When deploying the armored cable, avoid exceeding the minimum bend radius of 25.4 mm (1.0 inch). Kinking or over-bending the stainless steel armor can crimp the internal miniature coaxial cable, causing signal degradation, impedance mismatch, or intermittent connection faults. Ensure that the armored transition collar at the back of the probe is fully supported during installation to avoid shear stress.
Before mating the ClickLoc coaxial connector, verify both contacts are completely free of oil, moisture, and dust. Use a specialized contact cleaner if necessary. Ensure that the silicon sleeve is correctly positioned over the mated connection to prevent environmental ingress, particularly when probes are installed in oil-mist chambers or humid glands.

Inspect the probe tip and thread area for damage. Clean the target area to ensure accurate magnetic coupling.
Carefully thread the probe into the mounting bracket or casing. Guide the armored cable slowly to prevent twist strain or loops.
Adjust the probe gap using a calibrated voltmeter connected to the 3300 NSv Proximitor's output terminal, matching the specified DC gap voltage (typically -9.0 VDC for mid-range calibration).
Secure the probe locknut to the recommended torque specification and double-check that the gap voltage remains stable after final tightening.
