Description

The Emerson PR6426/000-131 non-contact eddy current sensor operates in combination with the CON041/916-200 signal converter to form a proximity measurement system for heavy industrial turbomachinery. Engineered for deployment on steam, gas, and hydro turbines, as well as compressors, pumps, and fans, this assembly measures radial and axial shaft displacement, position, eccentricity, and motion. The PR6426/000-131 sensor monitors physical shaft proximity without direct contact, while the CON041/916-200 converter processes these variables into normalized electrical outputs suitable for continuous machinery protection networks.

Features

  • Non-contact eddy current measurement mechanism for detailed shaft dynamics and displacement tracking
  • High-pressure durability with a sensor head rated to withstand up to 6,500 hpa
  • Extended measurement range up to 20.0mm when paired with the designated configuration converter
  • Rugged physical construction featuring a stainless steel sleeve and high-temperature PTFE cable insulation
  • Fast loop processing execution defined by a signal rise time under 15 microseconds

Applications

  • Radial and axial shaft dynamic displacement logging
  • Industrial turbomachinery position, motion, and eccentricity monitoring
  • Machinery protection monitoring across turbines, compressors, and large industrial fans

Installation Guidelines

  • Install the signal converter module on a standard DIN rail carrier inside the enclosure.
  • Maintain a clear zone of at least 80 mm diameter free of ferrous material around the 32mm sensor head to avoid field distortion.
  • Observe a minimum cable bending radius of 35 mm for armored cable paths, or 25 mm for non-armored variants.
  • Calibrate the initial sensor position to a nominal center air gap of approximately 5.5 mm.
