It provides a dedicated hardware platform to house a fault-tolerant pair of FCP270 field control processors in two positions and a redundant pair of FEM100 fieldbus expansion modules in the remaining two positions. Operating on a passive backplane structure, the Foxboro P0973CN delivers high-reliability power routing and communication interconnections across the 2 Mbps Module Fieldbus.
