In redundant Safety Manager SC (SMSC) controller configurations, the module functions side-by-side with an existing FC-SCNT01 module.

The module supports DNP3 protocol outstation functionality starting with Safety Manager SC release R212, allowing the Safety Manager SC to operate as a DNP3 Outstation while communicating with a DNP3 Master such as an Experion Server or ControlEdge RTU. It also functions as a direct spare part for the FC-SCNT01 module, maintaining full operational feature parity with the legacy module.
