The Honeywell TK-FPDXX2 is a conformal-coated, standard (non-redundant) power supply module designed for Experion Chassis Series-A (CIOM-A) systems. It slides directly onto the left side of the chassis to supply DC power to all installed modules via the backplane without consuming a standard chassis slot position. Featuring a conformal coating, the TK-FPDXX2 is designed to withstand harsh industrial environments meeting Moderate (G2) or Harsh (G3) airborne contaminant conditions.

Features

  • Conformal coating applied for corrosion protection in harsh industrial environments (ANSI/ISA-S71.04-1985 G2/G3 compliant).
  • Direct chassis left-side mounting layout that powers the backplane without consuming an I/O or controller slot position.
  • Accepts 24 VDC input source power for non-redundant system applications.
  • Supplies 1.2 V, 3.3 V, 5.1 V, and 24.0 V DC power directly to the chassis backplane.
  • Integrated soldered non-replaceable fuse for short-circuit fire hazard protection.

Applications

  • Experion C200 / C200E Control Processor Chassis Systems
  • Experion Chassis Series-A (CIOM-A) Remote I/O Racks
  • Industrial Process Control and Automation Systems
  • Harsh chemical or industrial plant environments requiring G2/G3 airborne contaminant resistance

Installation Guidelines

  • Mounting Position: Install the power supply module directly onto the left side of the Experion Series-A chassis. The power supply module does not occupy a standard module slot position.
  • Wiring Requirements: Use #14 AWG (1.4 mm) copper conductors for the input power connections.
  • Enclosure Requirements: Maintain appropriate physical clearances around the chassis (minimum 15.2 cm / 6.0 in vertical distance to cabinet, 10.2 cm / 4.0 in horizontal distance to cabinet).
  • Thermal Management: Ensure ambient operating temperatures around the unit do not exceed 60 degC to maintain full 70 W total power output capability.

Compliance and Certifications

  • UL: UL 508 Industrial Control Equipment
  • Hazardous Locations: Class I, Div 2, Groups A, B, C & D Hazardous and Ordinary locations
  • EMC Directive: 89/336/EEC
  • Emissions: EN 50081-2, Industrial
  • Immunity: EN 50082-2, Industrial
  • C-Tick: Meets requirements of the Australian Radiocommunications Act of 1992, Section 182, relating to electromagnetic compatibility
