Installation Guidelines

  • Inspection: Visually inspect the module housing and rear I/O connector pins for damage or bending prior to installation. Do not attempt to straighten bent pins.
  • ESD Precautions: Static handling precautions must be observed. Avoid touching exposed connector pins and do not dismantle the module housing.
  • Module Insertion: Open the ejector tabs fully using the release key, insert the module carefully into the designated slot, and press on the top and bottom fascia until seated. Close ejector tabs to lock in place.
  • Active/Standby Transfer Safety: Under no circumstances remove a module indicating Active mode. Removal of an active module may result in system shutdown or default states being adopted.

Compliance and Certifications

  • TÜV Certified IEC 61508 SIL 3
