What Is SCADA? Supervisory Control Without Replacing the PLC
SCADA sits above PLCs and RTUs: it acquires field data, alarms operators, and issues supervisory commands across plants and remote assets—without replacing local deterministic control.

Delivering highly responsive motor control and compact integration, this Mitsubishi Electric FR-D740-7.5K-CHT variable frequency drive from the FR-D700 Series provides 7.5 kW of output capacity for demanding industrial environments. Engineered for three-phase 400V class applications, this compact inverter integrates general-purpose magnetic flux vector control to achieve high torque even at low operating speeds. Its design optimizes panel space while maintaining the robust thermal performance and long-service life components typical of the Mitsubishi Electric automation ecosystem.

The FR-D740-7.5K-CHT is the designated regional variant for the Asian market, characterized by factory-default configurations aligned with 50Hz electrical infrastructure and sink-logic control configurations. When retrofitting or replacing standard global FR-D740-7.5K variants, commissioning engineers must verify and align Parameter 19 (Base frequency voltage) and the physical sink/source selection jumper to match regional control wiring schematics.
When executing side-by-side close-contact installation of multiple FR-D700 drives in a single enclosure, the surrounding air temperature must not exceed 40 degC. For operations running up to 50 degC, horizontal clearances of at least 1 cm must be maintained between adjacent units. Neglecting these clearances under high load profiles accelerates thermal degradation of the internal DC bus capacitors and may cause nuisance E.THT (electronic thermal relay) faults.
To configure extended parameters beyond the basic set, Parameter 160 (User group read selection) must be changed from its default value "9999" to "0". Additionally, when wiring the RS-485 communication line via the onboard RJ45 port, ensure that high-speed control wiring is run in dedicated, grounded conduit isolated from the high-voltage motor output lines (U, V, W) to eliminate electromagnetic crosstalk and communication dropouts.
Hazard of electrical shock and residual energy. Disconnect all upstream input power sources before mounting or servicing. Wait a minimum of 10 minutes following complete power disconnection and verify that the red CHARGE LED indicator is fully extinguished before touching any terminals or internal circuit components.
