The GT2705-VTBD offers a seamless structural retrofit path for legacy 5.7-inch models such as the GT1455-QTBDE and GT1655-VTBD. Because it features the exact same panel cutout profile of 153 x 121 mm, no layout recalculations or laser cutting modifications are required for panel faces. User application files can be up-converted within Mitsubishi's GT Works3 software environment, which automatically reformats standard objects to the improved high-density VGA resolution.
Always connect the functional ground terminal on the HMI power connector block using a dedicated Class D ground conductor (grounding resistance of 100 ohms or less, minimum wire size 2.0 mm2) to the main panel frame. Ensure the RS-422/485 serial communication cabling uses high-quality shielded twisted-pair (STP) lines. Avoid routing critical serial drops and Ethernet communication cables alongside high-voltage AC lines or motor feeder conduits to maintain signal integrity.
CRITICAL WARNING: Ensure all incoming 24VDC electrical feeds are physically isolated and locked out before attempting HMI mounting or terminal termination. Failure to de-energize circuits may lead to electronic component destruction, short-circuits, or physical shock.
Provide a clean, burr-free cabinet panel cutout of 153 mm x 121 mm. Ensure panel thickness lies between 1.6 mm and 4.0 mm.
Verify that the waterproof gasket is securely fitted inside the rear perimeter channel of the HMI bezel. Push the unit straight into the panel cutout from the front.
Attach the standard mounting fixtures into the chassis slots on the top and bottom. Tighten the clamping screws evenly to a target torque of 0.36 to 0.48 N-m to guarantee IP67F performance.
Wire power cables (0.75 mm2 to 2.0 mm2) using RAV1.25-3, V2-S3.3, or equivalent M3 spade terminals. Torque the terminal screws on the power block to 0.5 to 0.8 N-m.
