Installation Guidelines
CRITICAL WARNING: Electrical Hazard
Installation must be performed by qualified personnel only. Disconnect all power sources and follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures before accessing panel interiors. Failure to de-energize equipment can result in severe injury or death.
-
1
Verify the panel cutout dimensions are correct for the OP77B housing. Ensure the mounting surface is clean, flat, and free of debris.
-
2
Insert the operator panel into the prepared cutout from the front of the enclosure.
-
3
From the rear, install the mounting clips into the designated slots on the HMI housing. Tighten the clips evenly to secure the panel against the enclosure gasket, ensuring a proper seal. Do not overtighten.
-
4
Connect the 24V DC power supply to the designated terminals, verifying correct polarity. Use appropriate wire gauges for the load and distance.
-
5
Connect the MPI/PROFIBUS-DP communication cable to the corresponding port. Ensure the cable shield is properly terminated at one end to prevent ground loops.
-
6
After all connections are verified, remove LOTO devices and re-energize the control panel to begin configuration and commissioning.
