Installation Guidelines
CRITICAL WARNING: ELECTRICAL HAZARD
This equipment is operated with hazardous voltages. All installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities must be performed by qualified personnel only. Failure to de-energize the system and follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures before servicing can result in severe injury or death.
-
1
Prepare Mounting Location: Ensure the panel cutout dimensions are accurate and the mounting surface is clean, flat, and can support the weight of the unit. Verify adequate clearance for ventilation and cable routing at the rear of the unit.
-
2
Mount the Unit: Insert the Panel PC into the cutout from the front. Secure it from the rear using the provided mounting clamps. Tighten the clamp screws evenly in a diagonal pattern to ensure a uniform seal against the panel gasket. Do not overtighten.
-
3
Connect Protective Earth (PE): Connect the chassis grounding terminal to the cabinet's protective earth bus using a low-impedance conductor. This is a critical safety connection and must be established before connecting power.
-
4
Connect Power Supply: After confirming the source voltage matches the 115-230V AC rating, connect the provided mains cable to the unit's power inlet and a properly grounded, circuit-protected power source.
-
5
Connect Peripherals: Connect all required communication cables (e.g., Ethernet, serial) and I/O devices. Ensure proper cable strain relief to prevent damage to the connectors. Power on the unit and verify system startup and HMI application functionality.
