Installation Guidelines

CRITICAL WARNING: Hazardous voltages are present within industrial control panels. All installation, wiring, and maintenance must be performed by qualified personnel only. Ensure the enclosure is de-energized and locked-out/tagged-out (LOTO) before beginning work. Failure to comply can result in severe injury or death.
  1. 1 De-energize Equipment: Before installation, completely disconnect and lock out all power sources to the control cabinet or mounting location. Verify the absence of voltage using a properly rated test instrument.
  2. 2 Prepare Panel Cutout: Verify that the panel cutout dimensions match the requirements for the Panel PC 670. Ensure the mounting surface is clean, flat, and free of debris to achieve a proper seal.
  3. 3 Mount the Unit: Insert the Panel PC into the cutout from the front of the enclosure. Secure it from the rear using the provided mounting clamps, tightening them evenly to the manufacturer's specified torque to ensure a uniform seal.
  4. 4 Connect Protective Earth: Connect a dedicated protective earth (PE) conductor to the designated grounding terminal on the Panel PC chassis. This connection is critical for safety and noise immunity.
  5. 5 Connect Power and Peripherals: Connect the 115-230V AC mains cable to the unit's power input. Connect any required communication cables (e.g., Ethernet, serial) and peripherals (e.g., keyboard, mouse) to their respective ports.
  6. 6 Final Checks and Power-Up: After all connections are secure, remove LOTO devices and re-energize the main panel. Power on the Panel PC and verify correct boot-up and operation of the HMI application.
