Installation Guidelines
CRITICAL WARNING: RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK AND EQUIPMENT DAMAGE
Disconnect all power sources and follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures before installation or servicing. This device contains components sensitive to electrostatic discharge (ESD). Use proper ESD protection, including a grounded wrist strap and static-dissipative mat, when handling.
-
1
Verify Panel Cutout: Ensure the mounting cutout in the enclosure or control panel corresponds to the Panel PC's required dimensions. Deburr all sharp edges to prevent damage to gaskets and ensure a proper seal.
-
2
Mount the Unit: Insert the Panel PC into the cutout from the front. Secure it from the rear using the provided mounting clamps. Tighten the clamps evenly in a cross-pattern to ensure uniform pressure on the gasket for a proper seal. Do not overtighten.
-
3
Establish Ground Connection: Connect the chassis ground terminal on the rear of the Panel PC to the main protective earth (PE) busbar of the enclosure using a low-impedance conductor. This is critical for safety and noise immunity.
-
4
Connect Power Supply: Connect the 24 VDC power source to the designated power input terminals. Verify correct polarity (+/-) before energizing. Use appropriately sized wiring for the current draw and ensure the power supply is stable and filtered.
-
5
Connect Peripherals: Connect all required communication cables (e.g., Ethernet, serial) and I/O devices. Ensure all connectors are fully seated and secured. Route cables to prevent strain and interference with other components.
