Installation Guidelines

CRITICAL WARNING: Hazardous voltages may be present. Installation must be performed by qualified personnel only. Ensure the control cabinet is de-energized and locked out/tagged out (LOTO) before beginning any work. Failure to comply can result in severe injury or death.
  1. 1 De-energize System: Before installation, completely disconnect and lock out all power sources to the enclosure where the Panel PC will be mounted. Verify the absence of voltage.
  2. 2 Prepare Panel Cutout: Ensure the mounting cutout in the enclosure door or panel matches the required dimensions for the PC 677 chassis. The surface must be clean, flat, and free of burrs.
  3. 3 Mount the Unit: Insert the Panel PC into the cutout from the front. Ensure the bezel gasket is properly seated against the panel surface to maintain the ingress protection rating.
  4. 4 Secure Mounting Clamps: From the rear of the panel, install all provided mounting clamps. Tighten them in a sequential, even pattern to apply uniform pressure on the gasket. Do not overtighten.
  5. 5 Connect Protective Earth: Connect a dedicated protective earth (PE) conductor to the designated grounding terminal on the Panel PC chassis. This is critical for safety and noise immunity.
  6. 6 Connect Power and I/O: Connect the 24 VDC power supply, observing correct polarity. Connect all necessary communication cables (e.g., Ethernet, PROFIBUS) and peripherals.
  7. 7 Final Checks and Power-Up: Verify all connections are secure. Remove LOTO devices and re-energize the cabinet. The Panel PC should boot into the pre-installed operating system.
