Installation Guidelines

CRITICAL WARNING: HAZARD OF ELECTRIC SHOCK

This equipment is powered by hazardous AC voltage. All installation, maintenance, and removal procedures must be performed by qualified personnel only. Failure to de-energize the enclosure before accessing internal components can result in severe injury or death. Always follow local Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.

  1. 1 De-energize Equipment: Before installation, completely disconnect and lock out the main power supply to the control cabinet or enclosure where the Panel PC will be installed. Verify the absence of voltage using a calibrated multimeter.
  2. 2 Prepare Panel Cutout: Ensure the panel cutout dimensions match the requirements for the PC 677 chassis. Clean the mounting surface of any debris or contaminants to ensure a proper seal.
  3. 3 Mount the Unit: Insert the Panel PC into the cutout from the front of the panel. Secure it from the rear using the provided mounting clamps, tightening them evenly to the manufacturer's specified torque to avoid warping the bezel.
  4. 4 Connect Protective Earth: Connect a dedicated protective earth (PE) or grounding conductor to the designated terminal on the PC chassis. This connection is critical for safety and noise immunity.
  5. 5 Connect Power and Peripherals: Connect the 110-230V AC power cable to the unit's power inlet. Connect any required network, serial, or USB devices to their respective ports. Ensure proper cable strain relief.
  6. 6 Final Checks and Power-Up: Close the control cabinet door. Remove the lockout/tagout device and re-energize the main power supply. Power on the Panel PC and verify correct operation of the operating system and application software.
