Installation Guidelines
CRITICAL WARNING: RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK AND EQUIPMENT DAMAGE
Disconnect all power sources before installation or maintenance. This device contains components sensitive to electrostatic discharge (ESD). Use a grounded wrist strap and handle the unit by its chassis. Failure to comply can result in equipment damage or personal injury.
-
1
De-energize Equipment: Before beginning installation, ensure the control cabinet and all related machinery are completely de-energized and locked-out/tagged-out (LOTO) according to site safety procedures.
-
2
Prepare Panel Cutout: Verify that the panel cutout dimensions match the requirements for the PC 677 chassis. Ensure the mounting surface is clean, flat, and rigid enough to support the unit's weight.
-
3
Mount the Unit: Insert the Panel PC into the cutout from the front. Secure it from the rear using the provided mounting clamps, tightening them evenly to ensure a proper seal against the panel. Do not over-torque the clamps.
-
4
Connect Protective Earth (PE): Connect a low-impedance protective earth conductor to the designated PE terminal on the unit's chassis. This is a critical safety connection.
-
5
Connect Power and Peripherals: Connect the 110-230V AC power supply using the provided cable. Connect any required network, keyboard, mouse, or other peripheral devices to the appropriate ports.
-
6
Final Checks and Power-Up: Double-check all connections. Remove all tools and foreign objects from the cabinet. Close the cabinet door, remove LOTO devices, and re-apply power to the system.
