Installation Guidelines

CRITICAL WARNING: RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK

Disconnect all power sources before installation, servicing, or removal. Failure to de-energize equipment can result in severe injury or death. All work must be performed by qualified personnel in accordance with local electrical codes.

  1. 1 Pre-Installation Checks: Verify the panel cutout dimensions match the IPC677C specifications. Ensure the mounting surface is flat, clean, and capable of supporting the unit's weight (17.45 kg).
  2. 2 Mounting: Insert the Panel PC into the prepared cutout from the front. Secure the unit from the rear using all provided mounting clamps. Tighten the clamps evenly in a cross-pattern to ensure a uniform seal against the panel gasket.
  3. 3 Grounding: Connect the functional earth (FE) terminal on the rear of the chassis to the cabinet's main grounding point using a low-impedance conductor. A proper ground connection is essential for noise immunity and operator safety.
  4. 4 Power Connection: Connect a stable, correctly rated 24 V DC power source to the power supply input terminal block. Verify correct polarity (+/-) before applying power. Use appropriately sized wiring for the current draw and distance.
  5. 5 I/O and Network Cabling: Connect Ethernet, PROFINET, USB, and serial cables as required. Route communication cables separately from high-voltage power lines to prevent electromagnetic interference. Ensure all connectors are securely seated.
