Installation Guidelines

CRITICAL WARNING: This device contains electrostatically sensitive components. Always use proper ESD protection (wrist strap, grounded mat) when handling, installing, or servicing the unit to prevent permanent damage.

  1. 1 Before installation, de-energize the entire control cabinet and implement lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures to prevent accidental power-up.
  2. 2 Mount the IPC427C securely onto a standard DIN rail or a flat panel surface within the enclosure, ensuring the specified mounting orientation is followed to facilitate proper passive cooling.
  3. 3 Connect the functional earth (FE) terminal on the IPC chassis directly to the main grounding busbar of the control cabinet using a low-impedance conductor.
  4. 4 Connect the PROFIBUS DP and Industrial Ethernet cables. Ensure proper shielding and grounding practices are followed for all communication cables to minimize noise interference.
  5. 5 Connect the 24V DC power supply to the designated terminals. Verify correct polarity before applying power.
  6. 6 Once all connections are secure, remove LOTO devices and re-energize the cabinet. Monitor the IPC for a successful boot sequence and status indicator activity.
