Description
The 6SL3210-1KE23-8AF1 is a SINAMICS G120C compact variable frequency drive designed for high-efficiency motor control in industrial automation. This unit is rated for 18.5 kW applications, supporting a 150% overload capacity for 3 seconds to handle demanding startup or dynamic load conditions. It operates on a 3-phase AC supply (380-480 V, 47-63 Hz) and features an integrated Class A filter to reduce electromagnetic interference. Communication and control are facilitated via an integrated PROFINET-PN fieldbus interface, complemented by a versatile I/O configuration (6 digital inputs, 2 digital outputs, 1 analog input, 1 analog output). The drive includes Safe Torque Off (STO) for enhanced operational safety and is housed in an IP20/UL Open Type enclosure, making it ideal for integration into control cabinets.

Installation Guidelines
-
Mounting: Install the drive vertically within an enclosure to comply with IP20 requirements. Ensure sufficient top and bottom clearance for proper cooling airflow.
-
Power Supply: Requires an external 24 V DC power supply for control board operation. Ensure the incoming 3-phase supply matches the rated voltage range.
-
Grounding: Secure a solid, low-impedance connection between the drive chassis and the cabinet ground busbar to meet EMC requirements and ensure safety.
-
Wiring: Use shielded motor cables to minimize radiated interference. Maintain separation between power cables and signal/communication cabling.
-
Safety: Ensure the Safe Torque Off (STO) circuit is wired according to local safety regulations if safety functions are required for the application.
