Description

For high-precision vibration and shaft position monitoring, the Bently Nevada 330101-00-11-15-12-CN offers an unarmored 8 mm proximity probe configuration designed for the 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Transducer System. This system delivers an analog output voltage directly proportional to the gap distance between the probe tip and any observed conductive target, supporting both static displacement and dynamic vibration measurements on fluid-film bearing machinery.

Unlike other variants in the 3300 XL family, this specific configuration features a fully threaded standard case with a 0.0 inch unthreaded length (Option 00) and a compact 1.1 inch overall case length (Option 11) using standard 3/8-24 UNF threads. It is integrated with a 1.5 meter total cable length (Option 15) utilizing advanced FluidLoc cable technology (Option 12). The FluidLoc cable is specifically engineered with an internal liquid barrier to prevent lubricating oil or other industrial process fluids from migrating along the cable core into dry connection areas. The cable is terminated with a standard miniature ClickLoc coaxial connector without a connector protector.

This probe configuration is supplied with the -CN China hazardous area approval package. This package certifies compliance under NEPSI and CCC explosive atmospheres frameworks, ensuring legal and safe installation in zone-classified industrial sites within mainland China.   • Thread Clearance: Mount the probe in a standard 3/8-24 threaded hole. Ensure the maximum thread engagement does not exceed 0.563 inches (14.3 mm) to avoid binding.
  • Initial Gapping: Set the mechanical gap to approximately 1.27 mm (50 mils) to achieve the nominal -9 Vdc output on the Proximitor sensor for radial vibration.
  • Shield Connection: Route the coaxial cable through dry, clean pathways. Ground the cable shielding at the Proximitor sensor or the local junction box only.
  • Target Size Requirements: Ensure the observed shaft target is flat and has a minimum diameter of 15.2 mm (0.6 inches) to prevent scale factor error.
  • Hazardous Location Wiring: Install in according with intrinsic safety guidelines using certified barriers or isolators as specified in Bently Nevada drawing 141092 / 140979 for -CN approvals.
