Description

The Foxboro FBM202 P0916AC is a DIN rail-mounted passive termination assembly designed to interface eight isolated thermocouple/mV analog input signals with an FBM202 module within the Foxboro I/A Series and Foxboro Evo DCS platforms. The P0916AC termination assembly incorporates a 4-wire 100 ohm platinum RTD (IEC 751, Class B) to provide cold-junction reference temperature compensation for accurate thermocouple measurements. Each input channel on the associated FBM202 module provides galvanic isolation from other channels and ground, supporting standard thermocouple types B, E, J, K, N, R, S, T, and millivolt input signals. Signal processing involves per-channel Sigma-Delta A/D conversion, upscale thermocouple burnout detection, and configurable integration periods. The P0916AC termination assembly connects to the baseplate-mounted FBM202 module via a removable Type 2 termination cable, conveying field signals to the module and communicating via the redundant 2 Mbps module Fieldbus to Fieldbus Communication Modules or Control Processors.
