The Schneider Electric STBACI0320K is a high-precision analog input module developed for the Modicon STB distributed I/O platform. This module features four differential input channels designed to interface with field transmitters and sensors operating on standard current loops. It supports input signals of 0 to 20 mA and 4 to 20 mA, converting them into digital values with a resolution of 15 bits plus sign. The differential configuration provides excellent noise immunity, making it ideal for electrically noisy industrial environments.
Operating as a component within the Modicon STB island, this module communicates directly over the island bus to interface with main controller networks through STB network interface modules (NIMs). Its compact footprint and high-density channel configuration allow for efficient utilization of control cabinet space while maintaining accurate signal conversion and diagnostics.

The module must be mounted onto a compatible Modicon STB I/O base (such as the STBXBA1000 or STBXBA2000). Ensure the DIN rail is properly grounded and that shielded cables are used for all analog input runs to prevent electromagnetic interference. Connect the cable shield to the designated functional ground terminal on the STB assembly. Under no circumstances should the module be inserted into an incompatible base type, as this can cause physical damage to the module connectors.
