The 140DAI74000 is a 16-channel discrete input module engineered for the Modicon Quantum automation platform. Installation Guidelines

  • Backplane Insertion: Turn off all rack power supplies prior to positioning the input module into the target Quantum slot. Push the unit firmly until the module connector fully seats into the backplane bus interface.
  • Wiring and Routing: Route all high-voltage 230 V AC external field cabling through separate wire ducts distinct from low-voltage DC signals and communication lines to mitigate cross-coupling and electromagnetic interference.
  • Cooling Requirements: Verify that the enclosure layout preserves natural convection airways. Ensure the operating environment does not surpass the upper thermal barrier of 60 degC and that non-condensing moisture stays within 95% relative humidity constraints.
  • System Earth Grounding: Confirm the main Modicon Quantum mounting rack features an uncompromised, low-impedance ground bonding strap connected directly to the primary structural earth terminal of the control cabinet.
