Configurator management and field device commissioning are streamlined using the Honeywell MCT404-XI-03-00 handheld MC Toolkit Configurator, an intrinsically safe industrial device designed for configuring, calibrating, and diagnosing HART-compliant smart field instruments. Operating on Windows Embedded Handheld 6.5.3 and driven by a 1 GHz OMAP multi-core processor, this system allows engineers to perform field setup tasks directly in Zone 1 / Division 1 hazardous areas without hot-work permits.
