Description

The 330980-51-CN is a high-performance proximity sensor designed for use within the 3300 XL NSv Proximity Transducer System. This eddy current sensor provides precise non-contacting vibration and position measurements on machinery with tight installation constraints or small target areas, such as centrifugal air compressors, refrigeration compressors, and process gas compressors. By operating with an Average Scale Factor of 7.87 V/mm (200 mV/mil), the 330980-51-CN delivers highly accurate radial vibration, radial position, axial position, tachometer, and phase reference (Keyphasor) signals from fluid-filmed bearing machines.

Engineered with a compact and thin form factor, this Proximitor Sensor is specifically configured for high-density 35 mm DIN-rail mounting, allowing industrial operators to optimize enclosure space. Installation Guidelines

• Mounting Configuration: Designed to fit securely onto standard 35 mm DIN rails via its specialized high-density integrated base mount. Ensure the rail is properly secured and grounded to the enclosure grid.
• Field Wiring: Supports wire cross-sections from 0.2 to 1.5 mm2 (16 to 24 AWG), or 0.25 to 0.75 mm2 (18 to 23 AWG) when utilizing wire ferrules. A three-conductor shielded triad cable is recommended for connections between the sensor and the monitoring rack.
• Maximum Distance: The maximum allowable cable distance between the Proximitor Sensor and the monitoring system is 305 meters (1000 feet).
• ESD Precautions: Utilize an ESD wrist strap and follow safety handling procedures during terminal wiring to shield internal circuitry from electrostatic discharge.
