Description

The Bently Nevada 330101-00-33-10-12-05 is a high-precision proximity probe configured for the 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Transducer System. Engineered for non-contact machinery protection, this specific probe option features a standard 3/8-24 UNF thread, a 0.0-inch unthreaded length, and a 3.3-inch overall case length. Unlike baseline proximity probes, this variant is equipped with a patented FluidLoc cable. The FluidLoc design establishes an internal barrier that prevents lubricating oils, industrial fluids, and process gases from migrating out of the machine housing through the inner core of the cable. Terminated with a miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector and featuring a 1.0-meter total cable length, this unarmored configuration is fully certified with ATEX, IECEx, and CSA hazardous area approvals. Installation Guidelines

  • Mount the probe on the bearing housing or casing using the 3/8-24 UNF thread. Tighten the lock nut securely.
  • Ensure the maximum thread engagement does not exceed 0.563 inches (14.3 mm) to prevent physical binding inside the mounting bore.
  • Establish the appropriate probe gap per system specifications (normally calibrated at -10.0 Vdc bias or approximately 1.27 mm / 50 mils gap against an AISI 4140 steel target).
  • Maintain a minimum cable bend radius of 25.4 mm (1.0 inch) during routing of the FluidLoc cable to prevent internal conductor damage.
  • Ensure gold-plated ClickLoc connections are made finger-tight until they physically click. Do not use pliers on gold-plated connectors.
  • Isolate and ground the cable shielding correctly at the Proximitor side only to prevent grounding loops in electrical cabinets.
