Description

330906-02-12-05-05-02-05: 3300 NSv reverse mount probe featuring a 3/8-24 UNF-2A threaded case, 0.2-inch unthreaded length (Option 02), 1.2-inch case length (Option 12), and a 0.5-meter (20-inch) total cable length (Option 05) with gold-plated ClickLoc connector and Multiple Approvals rating. This specific reverse mount probe is engineered for non-contact displacement measurements in confined spaces with limited clearance or reduced target geometries. The reverse-mount housing allows the probe to be threaded from the rear of the machine casing, simplifying installation and replacement in high-density machinery configurations.

This transducer component is designed to work as part of the 3300 XL NSv Proximity Transducer System, which is optimized for small-shaft vibration and axial position monitoring. The probe uses gold-plated ClickLoc connectors that lock into place mechanically to prevent connector loosening from persistent mechanical vibration. It utilizes a 75-ohm coaxial cable with fluoroethylene propylene (FEP) insulation, which exhibits high chemical resistance suitable for process compressor and turbine environments.

Features

  • 3/8-24 UNF-2A reverse mount threaded steel case (Option 02 unthreaded length of 0.2 inches, Option 12 case length of 1.2 inches).
  • 0.5-meter (20-inch) FEP-insulated coaxial cable total length (Option 05).
  • Gold-plated brass ClickLoc miniature coaxial connector (Option 02) ensuring secure mechanical locking.
  • Multiple Approvals hazardous area agency certification (Option 05) for intrinsically safe and non-incendive environments.
  • TipLoc molding process providing a robust bond between the polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) probe tip and stainless steel body.
  • CableLoc design providing a maximum of 220 N (50 lb) cable pull strength to prevent mechanical separation.
  • Linear measurement range of 1.5 mm (60 mils) when paired with a compatible 3300 XL NSv Proximitor Sensor.
  • A chemical-resistant probe assembly designed to withstand turbine oil and process gases.

Applications

  • Vibration and position monitoring on centrifugal compressors.
  • Axial and radial shaft displacement measurements on aeroderivative gas turbines.
  • High-speed rotating equipment with tight mechanical clearances.
  • Small-bore machinery and small-shaft applications where standard 8 mm probes are physically too large.
  • Machinery casings requiring rear-mount sensor access.

Installation Guidelines

  • Do not exceed the maximum rated case torque of 22.6 N m (200 in-lb) during probe casing installation to avoid damaging the threads.
  • Maintain a minimum bend radius of 25.4 mm (1.0 inch) for the FEP-insulated coaxial cable to preserve high-frequency electrical transmission properties.
  • Ensure that the sum of the probe length and the extension cable length matches the exact system length calibration (5.0 or 7.0 meters) of the Proximitor Sensor.
  • Protect the probe-to-extension cable connection from fluid contamination by utilizing standard fluorosilicone connector protectors.
