Description

330910-00-10-50-02-05: 3300 NSv proximity probe configuration featuring an M10x1 metric thread with integrated stainless steel armor, 0 mm unthreaded length (fully threaded), 100 mm case length, 5.0 m total cable length, and ClickLoc connectors with multiple agency approvals. This non-contact transducer system component is specifically optimized for small-bore compressors, aeroderivative gas turbines, and other high-speed rotating machinery with tight installation limits. Unlike larger standard transducer variants, this 3300 NSv probe is specifically engineered for tight clearance zones, reduced counterbores, and compact target surfaces where standard 5 mm or 8 mm systems cannot be physically integrated.

The system provides highly stable dynamic shaft measurements, including radial vibration, axial (thrust) position, tachometer inputs, and phase reference (Keyphasor) signals. By utilizing an eddy-current measurement principle, the probe operates in combination with a 330930 extension cable and a 330980 Proximitor sensor. The mechanical assembly is equipped with robust stainless steel armor to shield the 75 Ohm coaxial cable from abrasion, physical impact, and environmental exposure, while gold-plated ClickLoc connectors provide a secure, vibration-resistant connection that will not loosen during service.

Features

  • Metric M10x1 Thread with Armor: Standard metric M10x1 threaded body featuring integrated flexible AISI 302 stainless steel armor for superior protection against abrasive mechanical wear.
  • Fully Threaded Configuration: Option 00 specifies a 0 mm unthreaded length, allowing maximum thread engagement inside casing walls or specialized mounting sleeves.
  • 100 mm Case Length: Option 10 provides a 100 mm overall case length, ideal for deeper machine casings or bracket installations.
  • 5.0 m Total Cable Length: Option 50 delivers a 5.0 meter total cable length, streamlining field wiring and direct runs to the Proximitor sensor.
  • ClickLoc Coaxial Connection: Coaxial male ClickLoc connector features a gold-plated lock-in-place design to ensure signal integrity under continuous high-frequency vibration.
  • Viton O-Ring Pressure Seal: Incorporates a high-performance Viton O-ring seal to contain process pressures and prevent fluid leakage through the probe body.

Applications

  • Radial vibration and radial position measurements on fluid-filmed bearing machines.
  • Axial (thrust) position measurements on flat targets smaller than 15 mm (0.6 in).
  • Tachometer, speed, and Keyphasor phase reference signal acquisition on small-diameter rotors.
  • Process and refrigeration compressors, centrifugal air compressors, and aeroderivative gas turbines with tight envelope requirements.

Installation Guidelines

When installing the 330910 probe, verify that the unthreaded portion (0 mm on this variant) allows proper clearance inside the mounting hole without binding. The maximum recommended torque for M10x1 thread cases is 11.3 Nm (100 in-lb). If threading into the first three threads of the case only, limit the torque to 7.5 Nm (66 in-lb) to prevent case deformation. Maintain a minimum separation of at least 25 mm (1.0 in) for axial position measurements, or 23 mm (0.9 in) for radial vibration measurements, to prevent electromagnetic cross-talk when multiple probes are mounted in parallel. The probe should be gapped at 1.0 mm (40 mils) relative to an AISI 4140 steel target to establish the nominal -9.0 Vdc bias point.

Compliance and Certifications

  • EMC Directive: 2014/30/EU (EN 61000-6-2 for Industrial Immunity, EN 61000-6-4 for Industrial Emissions)
  • RoHS Directive: 2011/65/EU (EFUP designation of 15 years in accordance with SJ/T 11364-2024)
  • Functional Safety: SIL 2 certified (HFT = 0), SIL 3 capable (HFT = 1)
  • Hazardous Area Approvals (Option 05): Class I, Zone 0, Ex ia IIC T4/T5 Ga, Class I, Groups A, B, C, D (Intrinsically Safe when installed with approved zener barriers or galvanic isolators per Bently Nevada drawings).
