Description

Designed for direct connection of serial devices to EtherCAT networks without an electrical cabinet, the Beckhoff ER6001-0002 serial interface module provides a highly ruggedized, IP67-rated solution for industrial field installations. This module enables the seamless integration of devices featuring RS232, RS422, or RS485 interfaces directly into the EtherCAT communication ring. The interface type is individually selectable per channel, allowing versatile configuration based on system requirements.

Equipped with an integrated 5 V DC sensor supply and auxiliary digital inputs and outputs, the ER6001-0002 serves as an all-in-one local connection point.   • Keep total serial cable lengths within safe limits: maximum 15 m for RS232 connections, and up to 1000 m for RS422/RS485 networks.
