Description

Designed for high-accuracy thermal monitoring within Sysmac automation architectures, the Omron NX-TS3101 functions as a high-density, multi-channel temperature input unit. This module supports up to four thermocouple sensor connections, utilizing high-resolution conversions to deliver stable temperature readings in demanding industrial environments. Operating within the modular NX-series I/O system, it integrates seamlessly with Sysmac NJ/NX controllers or remote communication coupler units.

The unit features a specialized internal design with independent channel isolation, preventing signal interference and ground loops. Real-time temperature acquisition is managed via Free-Run refreshing, optimizing performance for thermal processes such as extrusion, heat treating, and environmental chambers. For quick wiring and maintenance, the physical interface is built with dual screwless clamping terminal blocks, minimizing installation labor and ensuring vibration-proof connections.

Installation Guidelines

  • Mounting: Mount the unit onto standard 35 mm DIN rail. Ensure the lock levers click into place to guarantee physical stability.
  • Grounding: Ensure the DIN rail is grounded to functional ground to maintain proper noise immunity for low-voltage sensor lines.
  • Wiring: Insert solid wires or ferruled stranded wires directly into the screwless clamping terminal block. For raw stranded wire, use a flat-blade screwdriver to depress the orange release button while inserting.
  • Warm-up: Allow the system to run for a minimum of 30 minutes after power-on to satisfy thermal stabilization requirements before taking critical process measurements.
  • Shielding: Use shielded compensation cables for all thermocouple lines, and terminate shields at the system's designated grounding point.
