Product Description

Description

The 106M1081-01 Universal AC Power Input Module (PIM) is a rear-mount power interface module engineered for the Bently Nevada 3500/15 AC and DC Power Supplies system. Positioned in the rear slot directly behind its associated front-facing power supply module, the 106M1081-01 receives line AC power and routes it to the 106M1079-01 Universal AC Power Supply module. It converts incoming AC line voltage into acceptable operating levels for the 3500 Series Machinery Protection System rack. Note that the 106M1081-01 Universal AC PIM is not compatible with legacy 3500 AC power supplies or legacy AC power input modules.

Features

  • Accepts nominal 110 to 220 Vac input with wide operating limits (85 to 264 Vac rms for non-hazardous areas, 85 to 250 Vac rms for hazardous areas).
  • Dedicated half-height module design installed directly behind the matching front-facing power supply module.
  • Operates in combination with the 3500/15 Universal AC Power Supply module (106M1079-01).
  • Integrated over-voltage protection via fuse located on the power input module.
  • Built-in protection ensuring under-voltage conditions cause no damage to the module or power supply.
  • Supports seamless module insertion and removal without interrupting rack operation in dual-redundant power configurations.

Applications

  • AC-powered 3500 Series Machinery Protection System racks.
  • Turbomachinery vibration, axial position, and condition monitoring systems.
  • Continuous critical machinery protection in power generation, oil and gas, and petrochemical facilities.

Installation Guidelines

  • Rack Mounting Location: Mount the module in the special half-height rear slot located directly behind the associated 3500/15 Universal AC Power Supply module.
  • Redundant Operations: In dual-supply rack setups, inserting or removing either power supply module will not interrupt rack operation as long as a secondary supply is active.
  • Voltage and Wiring Security: Ensure AC supply lines adhere to specified input voltage limits (85 to 264 Vac rms non-hazardous / 85 to 250 Vac rms hazardous) and frequency range (47 to 63 Hz).
  • Fuse Maintenance: If an over-voltage condition causes the module fuse to open, replace it using verified replacement fuse part number 120M3877.
  • Compatibility Check: Verify that the front power supply module is the matching 106M1079-01 Universal AC Power Supply, as legacy AC modules are incompatible.
