Tutto sui PLC: la CPU
A practical engineering guide to PLC CPU operation, from deterministic scan cycles and I/O image tables to memory, communications, diagnostics, redundancy, processor sizing, and reliable system...
The Bently Nevada 3300/16 is a dual-channel vibration monitor from the legacy 3300 Monitoring System. It is designed to provide continuous, online protection for rotating machinery by measuring radial vibration (RV) or XY shaft orbit. This module is essential for monitoring the mechanical health of centrifugal compressors, pumps, and motors.
Transducer Type: Accepts signals from Bently Nevada Proximitor Transducer systems (non-contacting proximity probes).
Sensitivity: User-programmable for 200 mV/mil (8 V/mm) or 100 mV/mil (4 V/mm).
Input Impedance: 10 kOhm.
Frequency Response: 4 Hz to 4.2 kHz (240 cpm to 252,000 cpm) for standard applications.
Accuracy: Within ±0.33% of full-scale at room temperature.
Peak-to-Peak Measurement: Monitors the overall vibration displacement in mils or micrometers.
Recorder Outputs: User-programmable for +4 to +20 mA, 0 to -10 Vdc, or +1 to +5 Vdc. Outputs are proportional to the full-scale range.
Buffered Transducer Outputs: Available via front panel coaxial connectors and rear terminal blocks.
Output Impedance: 100 Ohm (for voltage outputs).
Displays: Dual vertical LCD bargraphs (one per channel).
Alarm Setpoints: Alert and Danger levels are digitally adjustable from 0 to 100% of full-scale.
OK LED: Monitors the integrity of the probe, cable, and internal circuitry.
Order Format: 3300/16-AXX-BXX-CXX-DXX-EXX
01: 0-3 mils (peak-to-peak)
02: 0-5 mils
03: 0-10 mils
04: 0-15 mils
06: 0-100 µm
07: 0-150 µm
08: 0-200 µm
09: 0-250 µm
01: 3300 or 7200 Proximitor system (200 mV/mil)
02: 7200 11 mm Proximitor system (100 mV/mil)
03: 7200 14 mm Proximitor system (100 mV/mil)
05: 3300XL NSv and 3300 RAM (200 mV/mil)
00: No Relays
01: Epoxy-sealed
02: Hermetically-sealed
03: Quad Relay (Epoxy-sealed only)
04: Spare Monitor - No SIM/SIRM
00: Not required
01: CSA/NRTL/C
02: ATEX self-certification
00: None
01: External
02: Internal
XY Configuration: In XY monitoring, two probes are mounted 90 degrees apart on the same bearing. The 3300/16 processes these inputs to provide a comprehensive view of the shaft's radial movement (orbit).
Relay Voting: The monitor is typically configured for OR voting (Danger relay actuates if either channel reaches the setpoint) for radial vibration, unlike thrust monitors which often use AND voting.
Grounding: To prevent interference, ensure the shield of the extension cable is grounded at the monitor end only. Never ground the shield at the Proximitor housing.
Maintenance: When replacing a module, the "Bypass" switch must be used to inhibit the relays and prevent a false machine trip.
