Description

The Bently Nevada 330104-00-04-10-02-CN is an eddy current proximity transducer probe designed for non-contacting vibration and position measurement applications on fluid-film bearing machinery. It operates by detecting static displacement and dynamic vibration relative to an observed conductive surface, utilizing an eddy current sensing coil encapsulated in a Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS) tip. Constructed with an AISI 303 or 304 stainless steel case and flexible armor, the 330104-00-04-10-02-CN transfers signals over a 75 ohm triaxial cable terminated with a gold-plated ClickLoc coaxial connector.

Installation Guidelines

  • Tighten forward-mounted probe case to recommended torque of 11.2 N.m (100 in.lbf); do not exceed 33.9 N.m (300 in.lbf).
  • Ensure a minimum target diameter of 15.2 mm (0.6 in) directly opposite the probe tip.
  • Maintain a minimum separation distance between adjacent probe tips of at least 40 mm (1.6 in) for axial position or 38 mm (1.5 in) for radial vibration to minimize cross-talk.
  • Hand-tighten the gold-plated ClickLoc connector until it clicks into place; do not use pliers unless mating with a non-XL stainless steel connector.
  • Observe the minimum cable bend radius of 25.4 mm (1.0 in) during cable routing.
