Installation Guidelines

Ensure the probe is gapped correctly to 1.0 mm (40 mils) using the appropriate DC voltage output (-9.0 Vdc nominal) from the Proximitor sensor. During installation of the armored probe, maintain a minimum bend radius of 25.4 mm (1.0 in) for the armored cable. To prevent cross-talk when multiple probes are installed in parallel, maintain a minimum separation of 25 mm (1.0 in) between probe tips for axial position measurements, or 23 mm (0.9 in) for radial vibration measurements. Tighten 3/8-24 probe cases to a maximum recommended torque of 11.3 N m (100 in-lb).
