Installation Guidelines

• Ensure the 3500 rack system is completely de-energized before installing or removing the 3500/42-01-CN monitor module.
• Slide the main monitor module into a free slot in the 3500 rack backplane and secure the chassis screws.
• Install the 128229-01 I/O module directly behind the main monitor in the corresponding rear chassis slot.
• Connect field sensor cabling to the internal termination block, ensuring correct polarity and channel alignment.
• Route field wiring away from high-voltage AC cables to minimize electromagnetic interference (EMI).
• Verify grounding compliance; shield lines should be terminated at the designated rack ground and insulated at the sensor end.
