Description

The Honeywell TK-PRS021 is a conformally coated C200 Control Processor Module designed for use within the Experion control system platform. Operating as part of the Chassis Series-A platform, this double slot-width module provides execution of control strategies and connects to various remote I/O modules and networks across the system topology.

The TK-PRS021 control processor supports deployment in both non-redundant and redundant C200E configurations. Power is delivered via the Series-A backplane, with memory retention supported by a built-in lithium battery backup as well as an optional Battery Extension Module (BEM).

Installation Guidelines

  • Chassis Slot Allocation: Slide the module into two adjacent slot positions in a compatible Series-A chassis.
  • Power & Removal Limits: Removal and Insertion Under Power (RIUP) is permitted in ordinary, non-hazardous locations. RIUP is strictly NOT permitted when equipment is installed in Class I, Division 2 hazardous locations.
  • Redundant Layouts: In redundant C200 control configurations, two identical chassis setup layouts with matching module slot positions must be maintained. No I/O modules can be inserted into the controller chassis in redundant configurations.
  • Cooling & Spacing: Maintain proper vertical and horizontal clearance around the chassis assembly to allow adequate ventilation.
