Tutto sui PLC: la CPU
A practical engineering guide to PLC CPU operation, from deterministic scan cycles and I/O image tables to memory, communications, diagnostics, redundancy, processor sizing, and reliable system...
Providing regulated electrical distribution to Experion Series C chassis, the Honeywell TK-RPCXX1 serves as a reliable redundant power supply carrier within process automation environments. Engineered with a robust, conformal coated assembly, this module is specifically hardened against moisture, dust, and corrosive airborne contaminants typical of heavy industrial facilities. It accepts dual wide-range AC inputs to ensure continuous control system operation even in the event of a primary power feed failure.

The TK-RPCXX1 is the conformal-coated variant of the standard TC-RPCXX1 power carrier. In highly corrosive environments, the "TK" prefix series must be selected over the "TC" series to ensure long-term trace resilience against ambient hydrogen sulfide and chlorine. This carrier interfaces seamlessly with Honeywell Series C systems and connects via the TC-RPSC03 redundancy cable assembly.
Maximum output power drops linearly above 60 degC ambient operating temperatures. Ensure that the module is mounted strictly in an upright orientation. Standard rack or panel configurations require at least 5 cm of clear space above and below the carrier chassis to allow natural thermal convection and avoid local hot spots inside the enclosure.
To minimize voltage sag and line-noise coupling, use exactly #14 AWG (1.4 mm) copper wire for the main AC feed. The integrated solid-state annunciation relay is highly sensitive to overcurrent; do not exceed the 100 mA load limit during commissioning tests, and always employ an external interposing relay if switching higher-current industrial indicator circuits.
CRITICAL WARNING
Isolate and lock out all AC mains feeding the panel before attempting installation. Capacitors inside the connected power supply units store dangerous residual charge. Wait at least 5 minutes after physical de-energization before disconnecting or servicing cables.
Securely bolt the carrier chassis vertically in the designated system enclosure space, allowing clearance for proper ventilation.
Connect the TC-RPSC03 redundant power supply cable to the carrier connector, hand-tightening any locking screws.
Route and clamp the incoming AC supply conductors (#14 AWG) into the screw terminal block, ensuring correct polarity and solid ground termination.
Wire the solid-state alarm relay outputs to your distributed control system (DCS) monitoring inputs to complete commissioning setup.
