Product Description

Description

The BECKHOFF EPI2339-0022 is a field-level IO-Link box module equipped with 16 digital channels that can be individually configured as inputs or outputs. This Class B IO-Link device facilitates high-speed data transmission up to 230.4 kbaud (COM 3) based on the IO-Link V1.1 specification. Designed for decentralized installation in demanding environmental conditions, it eliminates the need for protective control cabinets by providing high ingress protection directly on the machine frame.

Each of the 16 channels can be adapted dynamically to function either as a Type 3 digital input or as a 0.5 A digital output. The inputs feature adjustable filter settings, while the short-circuit proof outputs are rated to handle resistive, inductive, and lamp loads. Power is distributed through the L+ and P24 supplies with integrated electrical isolation to maintain safe operational boundaries between logic and actuator lines.

Features

  • 16 digital channels individually configurable as inputs or outputs
  • IO-Link V1.1 Class B compliance for higher power availability and communication
  • Supports COM 3 communication rate of 230.4 kbaud
  • Adjustable input filter time from 0 to 20 ms to suppress signal noise
  • 0.5 A output current per channel with short-circuit protection and 4 A maximum total sum current
  • M12 screw-type connections for reliable field-level wiring
  • Electrical isolation between logic supply (L+) and actuator/load supply (P24)
  • Constructed from durable polyamide (PA6) housing material

Applications

  • Decentralized input/output collection on field-level machinery
  • Connection of sensors and actuators in packaging and assembly systems
  • Distributed digital control in material handling and conveyor setups
  • Space-constrained installations requiring fieldbus-independent I/O expansion
