Description

The BECKHOFF EPP3744-1041 is a high-performance EtherCAT P Box designed for direct measurement of relative and differential air pressure on machinery and equipment. This space-saving module combines four air pressure inputs, six digital inputs, and two digital outputs into a single, highly protected decentralized industrial housing. By integrating pneumatic pressure measurement with multi-channel digital I/O processing at the machine level, it facilitates simplified system architectures and eliminates long routing of pneumatic tubing.

Operating within the EtherCAT P system network, the BECKHOFF EPP3744-1041 integrates high-speed EtherCAT communication and 24 V DC power supply lines (both Us control voltage and Up peripheral power) into a single, unified cable. Connection is established via standard P-coded M8 screw connections, significantly reducing wiring complexity, lowering assembly time, and minimizing the footprint required for installation on physical machines without traditional control cabinets.

Installation Guidelines

1. Verify that the incoming model is the BECKHOFF EPP3744-1041 and matches your system configuration requirements.
2. Ensure the electrical power supply to the EtherCAT P line is completely de-energized before mounting or making any connection changes.
3. Inspect the outer casing, M8 electrical sockets, and pneumatic fittings for any visible physical damage before installation.
4. Securely mount the box directly onto the machine frame using standard mounting screws, ensuring a stable, low-vibration position.
5. Connect the pneumatic lines by inserting the 6 mm air tubes firmly into the push-in fittings, verifying a secure and airtight seal.
